carpe diem writing
This place is too confined
for such a wondering gypsy mind.
This life is just to short,
To race with fools for greed and pride.
Instead I'll run with my desire,
and set a gentle pace.
I will follow nothing but my heart
to live to love to laugh and cry.
I will never worry about the climbs ahead,
but only the place where I now tread.
I will awake to live for only one day
for the next may never come.
I have resolved to forfit the race,
and run with my desire.
