poem about facing ones fears
S l e e pWalkingThroughLife

Am I asleep, Am I awake?
Glimpse of my fears
Brings my soul to tears
Let me sleep
Let me escape

Here thee come
So, I try to run
To that dark corner in my mind
Where they dare not come
Becasue there lies my domain
So, there exists no pain
Only the pleasures of my imagination

A running backward glance
Reveals more
than my mind was hoping for
as instead,
my body gets in a stance
open my eyes and mind
Fears go racing by
Anger disintegrates
Anxiety floats away, weightlessly

As I approach that place
that corner in my mind
but, now I lie awake
with a smile on my face
Blink, Blink

Am I asleep, Am I awake?
Glimpse at my dreams
Brings my fears to tears
No need to sleep
Now,
I am awake
