I wrote this after my friend vannessa passed away last year.
Unavoidable, without relent
time slips through our grasp
You don’t know what’ll come to be
live every day as your last
Those you love keep them close
and never hold a grudge
because if right now
Fate crept up
and took that person today
You’d have no chance to make things right
before they went away
To say goodbye
a vital affair
You may never see them again
So don’t walk away
Without saying goodbye
to all your family and friends
