I could
Pretend you mean nothing
But that would mean
I would be lying to myself
I can see you and not look
into your eyes
Like the way you look into mine
But then that would bother you
Though you act like it doesn't
I could
Play the game, not speak your name
I could
Pretend you never existed
But that would mean you have won
I could
Try not to think of your kisses or
Your touch or the lies
But that would mean
I have given up.
