A poem about my Mum and Dad's relationship
I will...

I'll let you share my umbrella when it starts to rain
I'll come and watch you play in every football game
I'll cook you chicken soup when you're feeling ill
I'll cheer your bad day up by ordering-in your favourite meal

I'll help you carry the shopping bags down the garden path
I'll surprise you when you come home by running you a bubble bath
I'll leave you little notes when you're asleep and I need to go
I'll listen when you need to talk and your feeling a little low

I'll hold your hand and kiss you when we walk down the street
I'll accept that you are always late and still save you a seat
I'll make you compilation tapes to listen to in the car
I'll understand the things you do and accept you for who you are

I'll never let you down because you're always there for me
I'll always need you because you make me lovely cups of tea
I'll smile whenever I see you because you smile back at me
I'll forever be happy inside, just by knowing I make you happy

I'll cover you with a blanket when you doze off on the sofa
I'll always feel so lucky, cuz you're my four-leaf clover
I cannot say 'I love you' for the words are not enough
I will never be able to express just how much I am in love
