This has special meaning to me and my family
I wrote this for my father this meant so much to him...

Yesterday and Today

Today I found a hair in my ear
Wondered why its harder to hear?
Are those glasses now on my face?
Have I been this long in the race?

Is that a gray hair in my mustache?
Is my life going by like a flash?
Are the stairs getting higher,
If I said yes I’d be a liar.

My youngest child is no longer a baby,
I’m getting older, this isn’t a maybe.
I see my father as the wise man he is,
Seeing how he worked for all that's his.

How could I have been so blind,
Back then to not see his wonderful mind?
As the days seem to pick up speed,
I find that his words I now heed.

Time passes by; I look at my youth,
I find these days I’m not so aloof.
