Something I wrote a few years ago when I was feeling a little down
Sadness

Sadness comes
to push me down.
Dark and heavy
thoughts are bound.

Inside
cold and numb.
Jangled nerves
on the run.

Thoughts unfocused
words fading away.
So tired
not much to say.

Sadness comes
to push me down.
But my dreams
push back.
