watching a parent lose themselves to depression
You've left me before,
I watch as you go.
I kno you want help
But my age restricts me.
confined by pain
you are powerless to help me cope.
The bridge between us widens,
as tears from us fill the dam.
I can't reach you, i refuse to hear,
The pain in your voice.
You are my strength
But then, am I your weakness?
I cannot help you,
I don't know how.
As your daughter i have failed you once more,
to bridge the gap of pain we widen in dispair.
