A beautiful poem sprouted from a title in a contest.
September Rain

Your hair moves in bliss;
Stress free and flowing
To the beat of the brisk February winds.

A smile your mouth sprouts constant
As spring flowers pop
And as fast as the summer season ends.

Those shoes
That stomped through our house then
Now pit and pat in a new house
You love.

- And I am still here;
Open as I was then,
Though knowing your door
Is forever Closed shut.

But my heart still beats
On those clanging drums
That will always produce
Our southing song
As it did last September.

- - - You are gone.

As you are being
Flown away to your new heaven,
You don’t notice
Me quietly standing beyond your tall window,
Crying forever
The tears of September rain.
