I love this. I love the spiritual undertones with the dark and gritty reality of what people are. I am super excited to see if this is going to be St. Jude(my personal favorite) re-embodied.I feel the anger of the violence being done to the girl and the happiness as they are taken down.
I love how descriptive this is. Not only in the environment, but the characters themselves. It gives the reader a position right next to the character in the story.The beginning starts with the man, and then moves to the woman, creating a smooth transition.
Thorough description of what is going on. You really get a sense of what the situation is. I am curious about the other characters brought in,and how they will develop.
