A Soldier's Parent's Prayer
My prayer go out today,
for the lost soldiers along the way.
Gone, but never forgotten,
I give this special wish to you for
the many who are the few.
Lord keep you safe and sound
as you fight freedom on the ground.
Have the wings of angels now
no more sweat on your brow.
Calm the hearts of loved ones,
Who are in the fight,
He will keep you in his care,
as you fly where eagles dare.
Thank you all for what you have done,
you are our daughter and our son.
