About Me
I did the University thing late. After graduating in 09 I had a hard time finding work with B.A. in lit. with emphasis on writing. I hope my luck will improve when I look at the end of June. I am working right now as a nanny/homeschool teacher, and I moonlight as an avid writer, which has always been my thing, as useless as everyone thinks it is, I can't help what I love. I love my daughter, as cliche' as it may seem, she saved my life. I really was heading for rock bottom. I'm good now.
Type of Writer
I write a lot of poetry. I do short stories as well. Right now dabbling a little in fantasy, a story inspired by my daughter.
Writing Style
I like to write memoir type pieces in the poetry format. I also like to experiment within diffrent genres. Confessional, Raw.
Interests
Well of course writing, reading, outdoors stuff, camping etc. I am always searching for something to do in my area, whether it be a new movie, museum, or somekind of community event. I am always looking for new interests to be interested in.
Favorite Books
"I talk Pretty Someday," or pretty much anything by David Sedaris. "The Hobbit," we all know who wrote that. "The Fourth K," by Mario Puzo. "The Bell Jar" Too many favorites
Favorite Authors
Sedaris, Kerouac, Tolkien, Auel, Greeley, Stoker, Plath, Rowling etc. etc. etc.
Favorite Poets
I love Shakespeare's (I spelled that wrong) stanzas, A lot of the Brit. poets, whose names have flittered out of my mind as soon as I tried to think of them, and many of the local poems I have since read.
Favorite Quote
I'll get back to you on that.
Favorite Music
I am a blues lover, One of my dreams, besides becoming a world renown author, is to visit an ole juke joint before I die. I also love myself some reggae, rock of all types, and harder stuff i.e. "System of the Down."
Favorite Movies
I'll get back to you on that.
