Rubin Carter a boxer is accused of a horrible crime. His story tells about his childhood experiences, young adult challenges, and what happens to him when the justice system is out to get him. The reader will get to know people he interacted with through out his life and the places he went to as he battled for his freedom from the black cloud of the horrible crime that hangs over his head.

Details of the crime scene, the actions of the police, the prosecutors, and defense attorneys are told showing that justice sometimes is not always as it seems and a journey that takes a long time to complete can be a bumpy path with twists and turns.

Readers who like true stories, crime and true crime stories, and adventure/mystery stories will enjoy this book.
