This is a biography of Jean Harlow, the movie star of the 1930's who died at the age of 26.
This type of Book is good for...
the filmography and descriptions and backgrounds of her films.
I especially liked...
the filmography.
I didn't like...
the descent into the sexual lives of some of her co-stars. Anyone can make these assertions about sexual behavior about someone who is deceased, but it differs from what I know about Clark Gable especially. I found the references to him unbelievable.
This Book made me feel...
like I needed to bathe.
The author of this Book...
focuses too much on the lurid.
Further Comments...
I didn't like this book very much. However it is good as a list of her films with nice descriptions of what was going on at the time according to the author. I didn't agree with some of the conclusions he reached about Ms. Harlow or her costars.
