Summary of this Book...
Detective John Corey is back for another installment in 'Wildfire' The novel takes place in a post 9-11 time period where John is now a former cop and with wife, FBI agent Kate Mayfield go on an adventure to a club known as the 'Custer Hill Club' In this adventure they come across the same sarcastic nature that is always John Corey's character. Their friend had gone to investigate this club, but did not return. Soon they find out he is dead and they want to know why. The mystery lays somewhere in the club, but what is it? Filled with the same charm that Nelson Demille has done with previous John Corey novels, it is filled with humor, action, mystery and suspense. It even has a few surprises in it for the reader.
This type of Book is good for...
Any fan of the John Corey series. However, even if you have not read any of the previous novels with John Corey in it, you will be delighted in reading this and wont find it hard to follow.
I especially liked...
The way the author portrays the main character. John Corey is filled with experience, loads of sarcasm and a quick wit that helps him and his wife out of alot of jams.
The author of this Book...
The author of this book has an extraordinary way of showing action, humor and a background setting that is so believable, you wish to jump right in. I could not think of a better character to enjoy my evening with.
I recommend this Book because...
This book is a must pick up. The version here is large print, but it comes in the standard print as well. It is worth reading, even if you have not read any of the John Corey novels before. The times where you think you have picked up what is going on, the author throws in a little surprise for you and it makes you smile.
