Summary of this Book...
The Big Picture: Evolution vs. Creation

The Storyline: Beck was abducted by Sasquatches and science may be to blame.
This type of Book is good for...
From the standpoint of a person that is trying to improve their writing, I did get some good ideas on describing woodland scenes.

From the standpoint of a reader, it would be a great moral-at-the-end-of-the-story Christian children's tale, except that it's geared toward adults.
I especially liked...
The scenes between Beck and her captors. She is the only character that evolves (heh) in my mind and she does it in a splendid and relatable way. (I gave the Character category a "3" rating, but keep in mind that the other [flat] characters really bring Beck's average down. *Wink*}
I didn't like...
The shift in progression from "Oh! Beck's dissappeared!" to "Ah, there are mad scientists afoot!"
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Write the next chapter in my book, in which my characters are lost in a forest.
The author of this Book...
Though this book did nothing to impress me, the stlye, pace, and some points of the imagination made me want to read another Peretti book. I get the feeling that he is a gifted author, he just didn't strike gold with this piece.
I recommend this Book because...
It is an easy read and not a bad book. Should you decide to pick it up, my advice is to pay better attention to Cap's side excersion than I did when he first separated from the other characters.
I don't recommend this Book because...
The overall message is rather trite and is not presented in a new light nor was it laid out in a particularly "oh, yeahhh" kind of way. (Which, to me, is how an author must lay out a trite message in order to engage the reader.)
