The depiction of the characters. I nearly cried for Lily so many times. She just tugged at my heart strings. Excellent job!

Lisa Kleypas is an accomplished author in the Regency Romance genre. Her heroes and heroines tend to love a little harder and kiss a little rougher. The seedier sides of live in 19th Century England are never forgotten. That is all part of what makes the romances work.
