Summary of this DVD...
Did you miss the first season of "Smallville" like I did? Now you can purchase the whole thing on 6 DVDs, including the pilot. This clears up a lot of things for me - like how Lana was orphaned, why Lex is bald - and makes me really wonder about Whitney. I really enjoyed watching this, especially since I missed most of it the first time around.
This type of DVD is good for...
Anyone who is a fan of Smallville, and of course the under-25 crowd and Superman fans.
I especially liked...
No commercials. What can I say? I hate commercials. It was nice to not even have to fast-forward over them.

Also, I enjoyed watching young Clark grow and develop over the course of the season. It was neat to watch and say "hey, I knew that" or "I didn't know that".
I didn't like...
The rolling of the credits. I know they did it just to split the episodes, but I would have enjoyed moving from one to the next. Oh, wait, it's a DVD so I can skip right through. Okay, nothing then, except for Whitney - he's weird.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Buy the first season for Gilmore Girls - do they make that yet?
This DVD made me feel...
It was kind of cool knowing the future, so I guess I felt a bit smug.
The cast of this DVD...
Did a superb job. Tom Welling does a great job especially.
I recommend this DVD because...
It's nice to see the "beginnings" of things. I seem to always miss them.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
You probably won't watch it a lot, maybe once a year? Having seen it, I probably won't watch it again for awhile. I suggest borrowing it.
Further Comments...
This was really fun to watch. I love having no commercials and skipping around, but I'm not totally convinced that it's worth $50.
