Summary of this Video Game...
Not a book! It's a video game on the old PlayStation1 called Final Fantasy 8.

It's about a young man called Squall Leonheart who, after getting a rather nice scar from his rival at the start of the game, gets involved with something that he can't truly explain.

After a training mission almost goes wrong resulting in him and his comrades being attacked by a giant robotic crab, Squall then meets Rinoa Hartilly and after helping her out on a mission that goes wrong he embarks on a mission to find out what's really going on with the Galbaldian Army.

He finds out more than he expects though and is thrown into a battle between the future and his own past.
I especially liked...
The story, it didn't have a lot of twists but what it had was just right. The characters are great, Squall, Rinoa and Selphie are my favourites.

Also the Junction skill is great, it gives a good feeling of strategy while you play. Also some of the music was amazing, I loved the music from the end boss battles, very good indeed.
I didn't like...
The random fights, they can be useful but do we really need to get into ten fights every few minutes?
When I finished playing this Video Game I wanted to...
Play it again, I was sure there was more to find and I was right. The game is big and there's plenty to find, even though there are no mini games as such.
This Video Game made me feel...
Good and somewhat stiff from playing for so long. Was great to finish it, a very beautiful ending.
The creator of this Video Game...
More like developers and artists, they've released a lot of games, mostly Role Playing Games, for almost twenty years now.

Their Final Fantasy games are the cream of the crop, always new and always worth playing.
I recommend this Video Game because...
It's got a strong story that keeps you reading, plus it's an old game now so you should find it for a good cheap price.

Surprisingly the graphics are still incredible, they could give any Tomb Raider and Fifa game a run for their money.
I don't recommend this Video Game because...
It can get a little boring when the story waits for you to reach another point, plus the random fights can really grate.
Further Comments...
I'm reviewing this because I want to spread the word around about how good it is. I bought this game in 1999 and I've loved it ever since, the story, the characters, pretty much everything.

Final Fantasy 10 is out now and it's every bit as good as this, I'll review that one when I finish it. The story itself is one reason I still love this game, it's a deep story with characters you truly care about, Squall and Rinoa in particular.

Two very beautiful characters with their own story and feelings, wonderful. Also the music is pretty good, I love a lot of it. So look this game out, you might end up falling in love with it, just be sure to be sitting somewhere soft while you play this, it can be very addictive.
