This book is a collection of poetry by the famed Afghan poet, Jalaluddin Rumi. Rumi was not only a poet, but the founder of the Mevlevi order of Sufism (Islamic mysticism), also known as the Whirling Dervishes.



There is much to be learned from his words, even if you are not a Muslim or Sufi, and his influence/popularity is on the rise in the US. Give him a look if you haven't yet. Once you do, I'm sure you'll agree with me in saying he is up there with some of the most talented and thoughtful poets to ever take up the pen!
