~ when words and thoughts aren't properly executed ~
My thoughts have been out of order,
guarded from crossing the border,
glued to the corners of my mind,
never letting me release or unwind.

Imprisoned words beg to be spoken,
but lie inside a box with no escape.
My ability to communicate is broken,
sounds of letters fail in form and shape.

Invisible memories kept upon the pages,
yearn to be unleashed from their cages.
Fragments weave themselves into places
but I can't seem to fill the empty spaces.

Sometimes I know what I wish to say,
though I stammer when I try to speak.
My words just won't come into play
and I cannot reveal what I really seek.

I'm in captivity and can't spring free,
unable to break the block that dams me.
