A poem about a friend I think of often.
I dream of you again
a smile with no words
your face and colors blend
surroundings change and blur

I never knew your touch
the strength within your arms
I never knew your kiss
Your breath is soft and warm

I wake up cold and empty
and whisper, "Are you there?"
a soft wind blows across the room
like fingers through my hair.
