A reaccuring dream, and I can't do anything to make it stop... Maybe I'm nuts?
Twisted bodies, ruined fate,
A testament to those who wait.
Screams of pain to curdle blood
Now fall mute, a silent flood.
Broken lives scattered about
Rend the hearts of those most stout.
Welcome to my world, my hell, my pain.

Witness what happens to those who fall
Among their brothers, friends to all
Who’d gladly pay the greatest price
To stave off hatred, a killer’s vice.
For what greater cause to lose your life
Than to resist the tides of woe and strife?
Welcome to my world, my hell, my bane.

The song of justice on eager tongues
Expressed to flow from burning lungs
To rally the hearts of honored man
Evidence of those who resist the ban
Placed on kindness, a foolish pursuit
To those who spy through ash and soot
Welcome to my world, my hell, my stain.

A damnable waste, the greatest greed
Flowers from the darkest seed.
Millions of lives, fates entwined
Fall to malice, evil sublimed.
They know it is hopeless, but still they fight
If only to brave the shadow’s night.
Welcome to my world, my hell... All in vain.
