Reviews the harsh reality of unrecognized effort, societal pressures and the cycle of harm
The world is unfair. It takes until we have nothing to give, and to those who are lucky, it gives without end. When we receive such luck, we consider it a blessing or a karmic gift. Maybe our actions do matter, and we’re reaping the rewards. But what of those who put all the work in, only for another to take credit? It’s not guaranteed they’ll receive just punishment.

Those people work without end, expecting some kind of outcome to their life, something that will make them stand out from the billions of people in this world. With no answer to their prayers, no recognition despite the fact that they yearn for it—what of them?

People die because someone’s actions harmed a person, who harmed another person, and so on. We don’t consider these things. The words we say—we don’t consider the way others feel all the time. We don’t consider the consequences of our actions. But this fact stands today: someone lost their life to another through violence because they were hurt by someone else, and they may or may not receive the punishment they deserve in this unfair world.
