[The first sense to boot up is sound. Metal on flesh, flesh to stone, a cacophony of chaos. Next, the mech's cameras boot up, moving from a dark void to a blindingly bright world. Last, the feeling of touch syncs in, having to quickly adjust to the feeling of fists hitting flesh.]
"...Fuck! Why? Why did it have to be him? Both of them?"
[Thoughts race through, barely having time to end before the next one comes rushing. The world crystal clear, yet blurred beyond recognition. Dawn had risen, but who knew how much time had passed?]
[The mission was supposed to be easy. In and out, no sweat. But the straightforward has many a way of twisting into something far darker, especially in matters of war.]
[Dante's hands trembled, and with his, the mech's. Images flow through with the thoughts. The honeycomb of holes buried into his gut, the twist of his head to an unnatural degree. He couldn't even breathe without a tightness in his heart.]
[But he didn't stop. He couldn't. Again, scenes of memories flew through his mind. The other of his flesh and blood, mangled, twisted, shards of metal tearing mucle from bone.]
[But eventually, he had to slow. As he ever so slowly came to a stop, he stared at the corpse of the man he had killed Yet all he saw was the ones he loved.]
