The 6th chapter of my All Hallow's Eve series
The following day was the beginning of February vacation. Michael was sitting in bed, reading a book while Kassie was out with Aoife. There is a slight, but large difference between werewolves and vampires. Vampires are not Catholic or Orthodox. They believe in Satan. Werewolves, for the most part, are Roman Catholic, some are Orthodox. Vampires are soldiers of Satan. Werewolves are descendants of Cain. Since Cain did kill his brother Abel, Werewolves were considered Satanic beasts because they sometimes hunt livestock, although they follow the Catholic Lord.

Michael knew the story of Cain and Abel well, and could recite it without the script. The book he was reading, was about the first group of werewolves. "Wyrewolves fought the vampyres in the battle of Earth. Wyrewolves of Sankt Michael's Army fought strong, and vampyres of Satan's army also fought strong. Wyrewolves won the battle, but only because the cowardly vampyres ran. Back to Hell they ran, where not even the Holiest of creatures or man may roam." Aoife liked werewolves. Although she was a vampire. Michael found in the book, there was a way that others can turn to werewolves. Vampires need to bite others to turn them into other vampires. Werewolf blood, only of the Alpha male, may turn others into werewolf. Sprinting to his phone, he called Kassandra's phone.

  "What is it?" Kassie asked.

"Okay, get to my house right now, or I'll go get you and Aoife." he replied.

"Is something wrong?" she asked again, as Michael was already out the door and in his car.

"Just be ready to leave, I'll be there in ten minutes." he said.

"What's up?" Aoife asked, as Kassie hung up.

  "It's Michael." she said.

  "Is everything alright?" Aoife asked.

  "I don't know." Kassie said.

No later than ten minutes passed by as Michael raced into the parking lot.

  "Hey." both girls greeted him.

"Hey Kassie, hey Aoife." he replied.

  "What's going on?" Kassie asked.

"Just get in. There is literally no time to explain." he stated, as the girls got in his car. Driving off, he began to explain himself. "Aoife, the book with you in the back. That explains everything you both need to know." he said, as she opened the book, and a confused look spread on her face.

  "What's wrong?" Kassie asked.

"I can't read this." Aoife said.

"Fucking Hell." Michael said, his brogue more pronounced. "It's a book of the first group of werewolves." he said, "It told me how to bring peace between everything."

"How?" Aoife and Kassie asked simultaneously.

"I need to dive into the pits of Hell and kill Satan himself." Michael said, sounding disappointed in something."

"If you kill Satan, you kill all the vampires though." Aoife said.

"Not true." Michael said, "Well, it's a tiny bit true, but I've found a way to turn vampires into werewolves." he continued.

"How?" the girls asked, growing more and more intrigued.

"Well, Aoife needs," he began, struggling on how to word the last of the sentence, "She needs to, drink my blood."

  "What?" Aoife asked.

"Not sucking my blood, drinking it, like from a glass, or chalice, or something." he told her.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Kassandra asked.

"I have no other choice, do I?" he asked.

  "Well, yes." Aoife said.

  "What is that?" he asked.

"You could just kill Satan yourself, without turning any of us over." she said, making him stop the car into a standstill.

"You honestly think I'm not going to give you vampires a choice?" he asked.

"Well, that would be what any werewolf would do." she said.

"Well, if you hadn't learned yet, I'm not just any werewolf." he said.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"There's a legend, that after Cain killed his brother Abel, all werewolves were born from Hell. Because Abel was a shepard, and Cain was a planter, came the reasoning that, because werewolves kill livestock, they are spawn of Satan. That isn't true. Although we come from Cain, we still do believe in the Christian God. We, although glorified by cultists, are not Satanic beasts."

  "All right." Kassie said.

"Yeah." he said as they got to his house, he then went inside, found a sword. Glimmer, Dawn of the Wolf. Won in a battle between werewolves and vampires, it was first used by a vampire named Lothaire, who died in battle by a werewolf named Ingolfr, which, after the battle was blessed by God himself, and a goblet. The Goblet of the Damned, it was given to the first group of werewolves by Saint Michael himself. Then, walking outside, he transformed to his werewolf form, and proceeded to cut his arm. Then, placing his arm over the goblet, blood began to drip out of the wound. Handing it to Aoife, he asked, "You do want to be a werewolf, right?"

"Yes." she said, before drinking the blood.

"She still looks the same." Kassie said.

"Give it a minute." he said, as she began to change.

She was a black-furred werewolf, with green eyes still, she stood to be 5'9". Taller than her usual 5'3".

"You should give your blood to other vampires." Aoife said, after turning back to human.

"What vampires would want to be werewolves?" he asked.

"I don't know." she replied, "Maybe my father would?"

"You ask him, we'll wait here." he said, as she and Kassandra walked into his house.

"Can we get a ride?" Kassie asked.

  "Sure, where to?" he replied.

"Back to the mall?" she replied.

"Sure." he chuckled, as they piled into his car.

They then went off to the mall where, there were a lot more vampires than usual. "What in God's name is happening?" he asked, as two vampires turned into bats infront of their eyes.

"Hell if I know." Aoife said, as she saw her boyfriend in the mall also. Then, running over to him, she formally introduced Michael to her boyfriend.

"Shane, this is Michael. Michael, this is Shane."

"Nice meeting you." Shane said, as they both shook hands.

  "Also to you." Michael said.

"So, what do you want to do?" Kassie asked the newly formed group of four.

"Kassie, if you don't mind, I'd like to talk to Shane about my newest 'magic trick' alone.'" Aoife said.

"Alright." Kassie said, as the other two went their separate ways.

Sensing Kassie felt a bit more alone, Michael tried cheering her up. "Kass, we can go someplace else." he said.

"You sure?" she asked, "I mean, look at them."

  "So?" Michael asked.

"I mean, they're both my friends, but, I don't know. Something doesn't feel right." she said, as she went into a trance-like state.

Michael immediately rushed her outside to give her space, and then called 9-1-1. When an ambulance came to see what happened, there was already a crowd of people. Not as close as they would be if Michael hadn't changed into his werewolf form, but still, a crowd formed.

"Any damage?" Michael asked one of the EMTs.

"None really. She probably just fainted in the store." The EMT said.

  "How?" Michael asked.

"Could be a number of things. She could've been a bit excited because of the new vampires, she could've had a bit of a cold, anything." The EMT stated.

"Considering you're trained in this, I'm going to trust you more than my own better judgement." Michael said.

"What's your name?" Another EMT asked.

"Michael, Michael Finn." Michael stated, handing them his license.

"Alright, and her's?" The first EMT asked.

  "Kassandra Stanley." Michael said.

A news reporter then came up to the EMTs and Michael to ask a few questions. However, he didn't get far, considering Michael scared him off by turning into a werewolf.

"Thanks." both EMTs said, "News folks always do that shit."

  "Well, Hell. Right?" Michael asked.

"Yeah." the EMT said, as they loaded Kassie into the ambulance. Michael would follow them in his Camaro.

At the hospital, Michael was the first there, with an hour to spare before any other of Kassie or his family would arrive.

With the extra hour, Michael continued reading the book. "When the Alpha Male dives into Hell, many demons of the night will attack him and his army of wyrewolves. When the wyrewolves crash into the pit of Hell, they will be attacked by Satan himself. Many wyrewolves will lose their lives in the battle, the Alpha Male most likely being one. It is prophecized that Lothaire and Ingolfr will rise up once again for this battle. Ingolfr being the first Alpha Male, and Lothaire being the first Vampyre Chief. When Sankt Michael, in his all Holiness, with blade that cast Satan's serpent form from Heaven, Faithkeeper, Soul of the Burning Sun, will deliver blow to Satan, he will fall. The Alpha Male will then rip Satan's own unholy heart from his body. Vampyres will explode, the Earth will be at peace, bread and wine be for all. None shall starve, all shall flourish."

"Hey Michael." A familiar voice said to him, still reading.

"What? Who?" Michael asked at first, not knowing who or what was speaking. Looking up, he saw Aoife and Shane. "Oh, hey."

"What's that?" Aoife asked, as Michael was putting his book away.

  "The book?" he asked.

  "Yeah." Shane said.

"It is the Bible of the Beast. It's translated from Hebrew to Wolfish."

  "Really?" they both asked.

"Yeah." he stated, showing them both the cover. I learned Wolfish from my mother, actually."

"Really?" they both asked, "I thought your father was the werewolf." Aoife said.

"He is. My mother just learned it in school."

"So, what is it about?" They both asked.

"It's about the first group of werewolves, born from Cain, and how the Catholic God distrusted them, but then, in the first battle for Earth, where Ingolfr, the first Alpha Male, and a vampire named Lothaire both fought until they were killed, and how the Catholic God then allowed werewolves into Heaven after a fifty year banishment. It tells of how the werewolves fought under Saint Michael himself, and how Saint Michael continued pleading with God to allow werewolves into Heaven. It tells about the werewolves' struggles trying to find ways how to survive and how they each got along. Ingolfr and his younger brother, Jaggar, almost killed one another because of how the other prayed to God, how the wolf Ulfang, seemed to not acknowledge the others until a female werewolf, Magdalene, was killed in a skirmish with vampires before the first battle of Earth. How the wolves all pretty much massacred the vampires in the battle of Earth. It tells of how the wolves all had their own duties to actually be able to get into Heaven."

"Damn." both Shane and Aoife said.

"Yeah." Michael said, "It also predicts the next battle between werewolves and vampires too."

"Where will that take place?" Shane asked.

"The Pits of Hell." Michael said.

  "Damn." the two said again.

"It says that Saint Michael will be there also, fighting with werewolves side-by-side for the first time in 3,000 years. It tells of a vampire who betrayed Satan himself by becoming a werewolf herself will be revered as a Saint. It tells of how, one Wiccan will be there, healing werewolves. It tells of how, most likely, the Alpha Male will be killed in this battle. Depending on how many wolves I can recruit into Saint Michael's Second Army of the Damned. Aoife, you're going to be a Saint. I'm going to probably die, and Kassie is really the only one I can count on."

  "Fuck. That sucks." Aoife said.

"Hell, I've been through worse." he said.

  "Like how?" Shane asked.

"My Great-Uncle Paul died a few weeks ago. Him being a werewolf too, fighting with other werewolves in the Korean War. Werewolves in conflicts like World War Two, Vietnam, and others, are said to never use their Wolfish powers.

"Sorry to hear that." they both said.

  "Don't be." he said.

"Why am I hearing this talk about Kassie on the News?" Kassie's father asked.

"Probably because I was a second away from clawing a reporter's eyes out of his skull." Michael said.

  "Why?" Mr. Stanley asked.

"Because, there was too much to deal with at the time. Crowd of people, news people, EMTs, cops, just, too damn much." he said.

"You really do care, don't you?" Mr. Stanley asked.

"Yeah." Michael said, "You didn't think I did?"

"Not that, just that I thought you'd care about something else more than her." he said.

  "Like what?" Michael asked.

"The fact that you're only supposed to use Wolf if someone's life is in danger?" Mr. Stanley asked, reminding Michael.

"Well, I didn't know what the Hell was wrong with her! She just, poof, fainted, right in front of me. What was I supposed to do?" he asked.

"I know how it is." Shane said, "Sometimes, werewolves release anger in our Wolf forms because, it's uncontrollable sometimes."

"I was in control. If I wasn't in control, it would've gotten fatal. Just be happy I only scratched his arm." Michael said, defending his use of his Wolfish form.

"Michael, it's all right, okay?" Kassie's father asked him.

"I just, I didn't know what to do." Michael said, crying on his shoulder.

"It's all right, alright? I'm not mad or disappointed. Infact, I'm glad you did what you did." he said.

  "Really?" Michael asked.

"Hell yeah." Mr. Stanley said, "I was sixteen too."

  "That is true." he said.

"See?" Mr. Stanley said, "It's not that bad."

"I guess." Michael said, trying to regain his composure.

"How long were you here for?" Mr. Stanley asked.

"About two or so hours, why?" he asked.

"Tell you what, I take over for you watching Kassie, while you go home for the day. I can tell you're already under a bit of stress." Mr. Stanley said.

  "No." he said, "I'm good."

  "You sure?" Mr. Stanley asked.

  "Yeah. Thanks again." Michael said.

  "No problem." he said.

"I mean, you all can go in, I was just out here waiting to see if someone would try something." Michael said.

"Alright, since I'm her dad, I go in first." Mr. Stanley said.

"Alright." Michael, Shane and Aoife all said.

"I'll be out in a bit." he said.

"Alright." Michael said, as he went in.

Michael then put his head between his hands and made a sound like a horse makes.

  "What's wrong Michael?" Aoife asked.

  "Nothing." he said.

  "You sure?" Shane asked.

"Yeah, it's just, I should take the rest of the day off." he said.

"No kidding, I mean, I'm sure she'd understand." she said.

  "You sure?" he asked.

  "Yeah." Shane said.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I should, but I wanted to be here when she woke up." he said.

"Michael, go." Aoife said, putting her hand on his shoulder.

  "You sure?" he asked.

"Yes. I am, very." she said.

  "Alright, but, how?" he asked.

"She told me once she knows you love her, so I don't think taking a downtime for yourself is too much." she said, "Besides, don't get me wrong, you both are an amazing couple, just, when you both need times for yourselves, take it."

"I guess you're right." he said.

"Thanks." she said, as he went to get his things.

"Tell her I was here, and tell Mr. Stanley I went to go home, alright?" he asked her friends to do for him.

"We will." they said, as he left the hospital, and went out to his car.

  "Well?" Shane asked.

  "Let's go in." she said.

"Right." he said, as they both walked into her room.

"Mr. Stanley, Michael went home." Aoife said.

"Alright." he said, "Thanks for telling me."

"No problem." she said, "Also, he told us to tell her that he was here."

  "Alright." he said again, "Thanks."

"You're welcome." they said, as they left her room to go home as well.
