A poem about love, or the lack thereof...
Love, it flies on gossamer wings
Persistently eluding my grasp
Has it left me for eternity
Just to show me how to love once more?
Aimlessly wandering
Through my pitiful existence
Trailing butterfly kisses
That burn and scar my soul
Will these wounds ever heal
Or am I irrevocably broken
Trapped in this prison of emotion
Desperately yearning for release
I cry out to the omnipotent Gods
My soul racked with pain
Please, oh, please
Take this curse that vexes me
My soul on fire, smoldering
From the heat of my
Passions
I whisper through flames
Hot-blooded desire
“Love,” I laugh
“My black angel,
Love died.”
