I won your heart, and let you go.
You weren't the same, as when  we said, hello.
Maybe I just, saw you different.
I really tried, to be considerate.
You couldn't see the things I saw.
Not even when, I would withdraw.
You only wanted, my support and love.
You were ideal, but only kind of.
I'd tried to point out, what I couldn't stand,
but you would always, misunderstand.
I didn't want, to put you down,
just give you knowledge, so we didn't drown.
As I realized ,you'd never change,
I started to feel, a little strange.
Here I won, your heart and soul.
And now you're on, your cruise control.
Rejecting every, thing I say,
not looking inward in any way.
Seeing only  the hurt I wield,
not seeing how I want you healed.
If we'd only talk, and get things out
it could be me, I have my doubt.
I want to learn. and with you grow,
but you have sort of, lost the flow.
So, when you reject, my every attempt.
I find you thinking, you're exempt
there's nothing that, you need changed,
you only cry, which makes me deranged.
your indifference to the way you act,
shows nonawareness  to the fact.
That I'm not happy and you don;t care,
or maybe you're just, extremely unaware.
In any case, we've loved and lost.
