This is when I realized , he wasn't worth it ..
As I get older
everything couldn't be so clear
living your life
As I'm doing here
a card or letter
to reassure me you care
is that too much to ask ..
so much for 'babygirl i'm always here'
your actions are unclear
and your purpose is quite faint
you stay away like a wet floor sign
--caution wet paint.
You have my number
and I got no missed calls
except when you left the message
that you didn't want to talk.
So live your life
and proceed as you are
'cause I will be somebody
I'm making it far
Don't knock on my door
to tell me you changed
your not a better man
it's not in your jeans
your not the type
to say I'm sorry
you feel you did nothing wrong if you take a stethoscope to my chest
-- you will hear my heart, sing my sad song
I'll win an oscar
for this bad childhood
No thanks to you
I entered adulthood
my childhood is memorable
believe it or not
sitting home with mommy
that's what I have on lock
you came home
and didn't interact
being ignored completely
I wasn't a knapsack
you dont know my talents
and you don't know my strengths
I'm ashamed to say
this story won't ever be finished
I said I forgive you
and gave you a clean slate
we just went down the same path
it's just way too late..
