Gulliver’s travel is a movie i saw recently
[Introduction]

Gulliver’s travel

I have been a movie addict for like forever already. I have seen a lot of great, beautiful, wonderful, exciting, lovely and ugly movies. Upon watching television, I saw a trailer about a man who rode his boat and end up on an island where became a giant and became the most looked up man in the place. This caught my attention. I was thinking, another movie with a different actor but the same plot as the David and Goliath, but this time, I was wrong. I really appreciate the movie, the setting, the climax, the plot, everything is just so amazing for me.
Have you ever have this feeling in your life where you want to break free from all the worldly problem and anxiety that you wanted to go to another dimension and place just to get rid of it, build your own place, be the leader of it, and live a life free from any worries and problem? Well I think this movie will help you think about it.
If you haven’t seen the movie yet well it is about the mail man in a newspaper company Lemuel Gulliver. He has been a mail man for ten years while the new comer Dan was just there one day and he was promoted as the head of the mail office already. Dan told him that he will never succeed with that attitude of his, being contended of what he has and not doing something to attain and do something out of the box. Then, Dan challenged him to tell Darcy that he has been crushing on her for ten years already and he will ask her out. When he decided to finally do it, on the last minute he backout. And by the last minute I mean the moment when he was in her office about to ask her out. A typical twist in a story. Then as an excuse he said that he is interested in writing and traveling, so she give him an assignment to see if he is capable to be a writer. At that night, he does not know what to do and write. So what he did was he copied some paragraphs in the internet and in the books that served as his reference. So the next day, he was able to pass a comprehensive and impressive article not knowing that he will be immediately given an assignment. Due to his impressive write-up, he was given the task to go to Bermuda Triangle and write something about it. He went there and the adventure starts right here. Well it was really fictitious when he got into a whirlwind and his boat was devoured by it. It was funny, for me it kinda is. Well anyway the next thing that happened was. When he woke up, he was tied up with tiny army people who calls him the beast. The BEAST, exciting! He was then brought to the royalties of the land called Lilliput. I love the name of their land, Lilliput. Cute isn’t it? Then he meet Horatio his prison buddy. In prison for illegal courting. And since when did courting become punishable? He was punished for courting the princess for in their land, any man of low level in the community is not allowed to court their princes. Well, in real life who would have the courage to court a princes when you are a nobody right? But in the land of the real world, a man if he has all the courage and strength and will to do it, then he has the right to do so and not be punished and prisoned for it. I find this really comical! His timing in getting out of prison was in time when the opposing army, the Blefuscians tried to kidnap the princess and burn the whole kingdom. As expected he saved the princess and you know what he did to the burning kingdom? He peed on it. I laughed out loud when he did this. It was the last action, not even the last resort I was thinking. Im like woah! He even peed on the captain of Lilliput’s army. It was really hilarious. After being known as the “hero” of Lilliput their king decided to provide him with everything, they will find his boat, fixed it and return to Manhattan eventually. They were able find the boat easily. But it took a long time to fix it. So at the course of fixing his major transportation to go home, he was able to make a city of his own. There, he owns “golex” rolex in the real world. He was the “gavatar”. His vice-president is “Yoda”, he told them that he was the president of Manhattan you know, to impress them. In Lilliput, Gulliver felt like a real president. He felt like he is the most important person and his every decision counts. Their he was able to do things out of his comfort zone, he took risks, you know, not to disappoint the people who makes him their so called hero. Then the story goes on. Until Darcy found out that he was a fraud, and plagiarizes everything that he wrote in his article and the Lilliputs found out that he was just lying and everything that he said was just part of his imagination. As a punishment he was sent to the place that the lilliput’s call the island where we dare not go. It was funny once they say this because for them this word is a jinx like a taboo. So the Lilliputs was ruled over by the Blefuscians. Liliput’s one and only enemy who wants to take over their land. But, Gullivers friend Horatio did not like the idea of this. So he went to the island where we dare not go and told him that he should save Lilliput especially that Darcy is their held as captive. So he went back. He had a rematch with the robot the Blefuscians made after the magazine that General Edward saw in his boat huh, man versus robot. He was able to defeat it. Actually, Horatio helped him defeat the robot. It was a two man victory. So in the end, Horatio was given a high position in their Army, and was finally granted with his wish, he is now able to court Princess Mary. And to officially end the war between the two parties, Gulliver performed War by Edwin Star. Have I mentioned already that he told Darcy finally that he had been crushing on her for 10 years, its just that he did not tell her that. Well, Darcy felt the same way to. The feeling was mutual I guess. Then, they went back to Manhattan and wrote their travel experience in Lilliput.
Such a lovely movie. I want to watch this movie again and again and again. This movie made me realize that sometime in our lives, we really have to explore life. We have to take risks, and be positive with whatever its outcome maybe. In life, we do not have to be contended with what we have. I mean if we can do something more, do better then it will really do a difference to yourself. It will boost your self esteem and you let the world know what you are capable of doing. Besides its better late than never right?
This movie also made me read between the lines. It made me realize that in life when you feel so small like when you are nothing, useless, nobody and unimportant, there is always a person who needs you, who cares for you. They are just around its just that your feeling so low you don’t see and feel them. You’re so preoccupied with your negative thoughts you haven’t notice them at all.
Most importantly this movie showed us that once we are already in our glorious position and blissful life, it is vital to keep our feet on the ground and not to boast and be too proud of it.
