my unusual way of seeing the spectacular in the night. R+R
We are not shooting stars
brilliant streaks of flame
we are not those who touch new eyes
and never touch again.

We are not like the moon
a torch in the night,
Only appearing when darkness reigns
giving little comfort or sight.

We are not clusters of stars
desperate to be seen
screaming out at the inky black
with no voice to sing.

We are the night itself
holding all in place
Hearing cries of silent stars
and comforting them in our embrace,

We give way to the bright sun
we let the stars ignite
we stalk evil through the dark
we hide innocence from plight.

We are not alone in our darkness
nature breaks its seams
The day is bright and alive
but the night brings us our dreams.
