written during my divorce
If love is a verb I screwed up a long time ago.
I stopped verbing because I felt unverbed.
The marks are gone but the pain is
still lurking in the valleys of my screwed
up life fortunately not lurking in my cold heart.
All I’m trying to do is make love
something better than making up
again and again.
