Hesitant Hopes is a poem about the struggle to make way in darkness despite falling hopes
I open my eyes, to a dark dream.

I’m flood in a cold black stream.

My pupils altered with a sense of fading reflection.

I could spot the dying dispersion.

I turned around to find the source.

All I hold is dark and coarse.

I hear the cries of a sinking light.

I drown deeper to make it bright.

I could feel my losing breath.

I tried grasping life out of death.

I struggle more to sail safer.

I see the spark glazing folds brighter.

Moments when I stopped still.

The glitter flickered from a blocked grille.

For a moment I thought

I’ll let it go

But I crossed back

Can I make it glow?

I got onto the roads of hesitant hopes

Yet, on the way, I found some supporting ropes.

I grabbed the gleam

Lifted the tender glint.

It bred unusual beam

Unfolding slight tint

There was a burst

There was a rise.

No means of expectations

But I had a surprise.

Now I find the source,

It is my fist.

I turn around,

To the colored mist.

I look above to the raining stars.

Radiant rays are healing dark scars.

Now I realize

Now I see

But for a hope

I would lose in the dark sea.

Hope led me to witness the lustrous glow

To scrub away the filth of the black snow!
