Some couplets about a broken heart.
I thought I knew,
I thought I could love you.

I thought my heart was strong,
But you proved that wrong.

I thought it could last forever,
But you proved it would never.

I thought I was cared for,
But you just slammed the door.

I thought this was life's cruel humor,
I thought happiness was just a rumor.

But I know now what is right,
I should hold love and happiness tight.
