This poem is about my sister who lives seven hours away who I miss very much.
So many words that I left unsaid
So many tears I cried instead
I walked away without looking back
The regrets have collected in one large stack
Now you are almost grown
With a life of your own
I missed out on important days
That mattered to me in so many ways
I miss the little girl giggles we use to share
I miss the heartaches that together we would bear
We talked about boys once we got older
We cuddled close when the weather got colder
I knew I could always depend on you
You knew that you could rely on me too
Those times have come and gone
Those precious memories will always live on
My heart breaks every time I remember you
Which is every moment of the day that I do

Life made sense when we were together
You will always be my sister and best friend forever and ever
