Based on a painting of an old woman babysitter. I am not sure of the name of the painting.
An iris of blue stares beyond what we see,
A rope that adjoins her only sympathy.
Her strong hands she folds, and away from her face,
The lonely mind’s thought the birth never took place.
When she rose from the chair after the boy fell asleep,
The lonely mind presents her world at her feet.
