self torture with dreams of what will never be
wishes hope
self torture
gropes
like a boy
wake
in pools
of sweat
face wet
tears
escape
from depths
unspoken
and trust
broken
visions remain
to cloud
one more
night
of lying
awake
thoughts of all
that could have
but never was
know
it was nothing
and yet
it is
all and everything
