depression is agonizing
Do you see the tears streaming down my face.
Will you wipe them away so I won't feel sad any longer.
Can you make the world turn at a slower pace,
so that everything worthwhile doesn't cross by in a blur.

Do you see the pain, tattooed on my skin,
painted black and outlined with despair.
Will you help me fight this battle that I cant seem to win,
be my hero if you dare.

Do you see my footprints left along the tracks,
on this dark and lonely path I've walked.
Can you teach me to move on and never look back,
and keep the doors of my past blocked.

Do you see the flame of fear burning inside my eyes,
melting away every morsel of strength I have left.
Can you hear the longing behind the silent cries,
feel the fright of having secrets unkept.

Do you see me bowing down in weakness,
without the courage to make it on my own.
Going through trials I'd rather not experience
in the darkness of this gloomy world, so cold, so alone.

Do you see me searching high and below,
but what am I trying to find?
Fighting so hard not to give up and let go,
but secretely dyng, deeply inside.
