Consequences and remembering the truth.
Serenity

I am looking.
You told me to look.
I agree
Everything’s different now.
Seems brighter, nicer,
Kinder, calmer.

Stillness. Serenity. Yes,
You’re right.
It’s looking all better now,
Bathed in a new days light.

For once all is quiet,
I couldn’t believe my eyes.
The hate I had stored,
The object I’d come to despise.

She lay there,
White as a sheet.
The racing heart I could hear
Was from there;
Not yours that used to beat.
