Declaration of undying love.
Never have I pulled petals off a flower,
or watched a quiet sunset at night.
I've never seen it rise on a single day,
or watched rain fall in a tender light.

Never before have I done things quite like these,
or thought they'd be things I'd want to do.
Now, I must ask why I seem to find myself
wanting to do all these things with you.

I've seen love grow before;
I've seen love fade away;
I've seen love die its death;
Is there anything you can say
when you find out that love was never real
and all you ever felt wasn’t true?
I've never taken this kind of risk before,
but I think I will for you.

I've never felt that feeling they talk about
when you want to hold someone so tight.
I've never longed to be with someone all day,
and each cold, eternal night.

I can't recall quite a passion within me,
one that has affected me so much.
Would you consider me too presumptuous
to be so affected by your touch?

I've seen love grow before;
I've seen love fade away;
I've seen love so fleeting;
and I've seen people love in vain.
They knew, deep down, it could never be real,
but wouldn’t admit it wasn't true.
So I've never taken such large risks for love,
but I think I will for you.

How can I be sure of the way I feel?
I'd give it all to know if it's true.
I've never taken a risk like this before,
but girl...
I think I'm in love with you.
