This is a mild description of the passion of words in literature and writing.
A poet you say you wish to be
One with pure integrity
But when asked the question why to be
It seems as if a worthless dream

For what's the point of an empty smile
One without a joyful while
One that could never reach for the stars
Or even simply find who they are

Like the wind insistent on being followed
Being followed day after day
But as you chase after the mild breeze
It slowly begins to fade away

But to you I say chase after the wind
But don't give up and then try again
For the day that you quit before reaching the end
The next you will cease to once more begin

For you will lose heart
And not dare to return
But the times that we fail
Are the times that we learn

Words are precious and to be used in a way
To build one up, not tare one down
So hold on tight to the words that you know
So they may once again be found

Words transcend all emotion and time
They are not to be taken for granted
They express the ways that we show our love
Through a long written letter enchanted

So keep writing on with passion and zeal
For then you will truly see
If you write on by what you feel
A poet you shall be
