Life is a journey... Hearts mend Wounds heal Things get easier... along the way
Its been years since the first day
I saw you standing there
Alone and silent
Like an angel in a nightmare

The day was dark
Yet your smile was bright
So sweet and beautiful
It brought me to life

Black roses turned red
Broken wings began to heal
After a lifetime of numbness
I began to feel

Today nothings changed
But I've learned to rhyme
Things do get better
With words, with time
