CHAPTER ONE
SELIONS STORY
Sunrise was just starting above the hills in the eastern valley of Gomanian; soldiers at King Mesions castle on their last hour of watch, and a very weary king who just stepped out of bed to find his chamber in quite a mess. King Mesion was not by far the neatest king in the valley but in many ways the best; his sword up on the mantle with a quill, pen, and ink plus some other very noticeable artifacts, like his very ancient bow and a speech he was suppose to make in the courtyard.  King Mesion stumbled to his chamber door and opened it with all silence roaming the castle halls except for a very few birds who always seemed to fly in unnoticed, the King cursed under his breath after tripping out the door, in spite of not falling those very irritating birds swooped over his head; pecking at his hair, then exiting through the open window of which they came.
“Good morning King Mesion” one of the guards uttered as the king walked by”good morning, how was everything last night on your watch no trouble I imagine” “no sir, but this did come just before sunup; stating that the battle in the western far lands are only getting inferior to what our men are ready to face”. We will send an extra 300 men to assists in the struggle then” “but sir if I may we are considerably outnumbered, more men are not needed; that would just put our town more vulnerable to attack” “well I by no means will bow down to these raiders from the west”; the king replied in an uproar of discontent. “I understand sir lets try to fight this battle in a smart way; and understand that the Vertons are building a rapid growing army by the end of this day they will be ten-thousand strong , not including Vertons we are fighting now. “I do not care soldier you understand me; send a thousand instead the king replied” “ok sir, the soldier alleged in a rather gloomy sort of way; I will see it done” “ok very good soldier; now get back on your watch.”
Countless villagers in Gomanian were out and about; entering various shops and courtyards; examining the grounds; with it’s vary breathtaking ponds and trees where birds laid watchful eyes looking for any sign of trouble. “Good day” one particular bird spoke towards a man totally cloaked from daylight.
“Good day Selion” the man directed his voice towards the bird while removing his hood revealing  jet-black hair  with grey throughout and a sword cloaked beneath  his outer garments which he had not even drawn in years. “Oh Argon I did not even recognize you with that silly hood on”; “Selion spoke in astonishment.” “It is quite ok” Argon replied “come fly down from their so we can have a proper conversation”.
“No sir I am far safer up here” “Selion what in the world are you talking about” Argon replied in a sort of bewildered look “what I am talking about is the storm brewing in the far lands sir” Selion said as his beak trembled  “yea I know about the battle in the far lands” “yes Argon this is true but what you nor the king knows about is of a creature who calls himself Daystorm he is breading an entire army as we speak to take this land by force” “how do you know about Daystorm, Selion”  Argon asked in a rather curious manner.
“Well I am a bird it is what I do; spy on people ya know” “yes I do know Selion but what can we do to stop him”. “Well Argon there is a tale that goes back for ages; of when Daystorm would roam these lands. It is about a mystical sword that some say never existed but I have truth to believe different; however Argon; this storm is approaching you best be ready” at those last words of wisdom Selion flew off.

Dark skies were hovering over the eastern valley in a sense of deafening silence through out Gomanian.  Argon on the other hand started to pack his bags and head out to meet a friend. On top of the far west mountain in thinking he could help the most. Argon packed his dagger, a few bits of parchment, a quill, and a hand full of mystical powder which was contained inside a jar. “Argon” the King stepped up behind him “where do you think your going?” King Mesion said in quite a quickened voice. “I am headed to the far west mountain to meet up with a friend” Argon insisted. “I need you here to head up my army” King Mesion demanded. “Sorry sir this is urgent matters that can’t wait” “You understand this Argon you’re not going any where, men detain him”. Argon drew is sword in and abrupt manner swinging it over his head, blocking the incoming axe from behind.
“Argon you just signed your death” the king yelled, Argon now piercing the soldier’s chest, leaving the sword inside, Argon pulled out a dagger and threw it, which intruded threw the far right soldier’s neck. Argon took his sword, inserted it back in its resting place, and ran, entering down corridors and halls stopping abruptly while swinging around to hide in the shadows, as a lone soldier walked by. Argon had his dagger ready, he jumped out, coming from behind and inserting the dagger, threw his heart while covering his mouth, and throwing him to the ground.
A horse happened to be waiting outside for the king, but argon jumped on back of the kings horse and road off not looking back, in the direction of west.
