Problems on Earth

There are problems on this earth
That most will take for granted
These are serious issues
And yet no one cares, or at least shows they do

All these wars are breaking loose
It corrupts the children who live near
Man vs. man fight to their deaths
To gain something more dear

Violence is on our streets
In some homes
And some at schools
All anyone does is turn their backs anymore

The Virginia Teck. massacre is still deep in my mind
The greatest massacre in U.S. history
Really takes a toll on everything
To see all those students in misery

I see it on T.V. and in many movies
Kidnappings, rapes, murders
It's all the same
It always ends up with someone hurt or betrayed

Global warming is also a cause
To some of people's hysteric sobs
Yet people sitll use the same old products
That cloud up our atomosphere

There is garbage all around
Nobody stops to pick it up
I once went down to a lake and on the shore
I picked up more than an armfull of trash

And yet there's more

All these wars, all this violence
The global warming, and our own inviorment
There are problems on this earth
That most will take for granted

We all say that we will do something
I do just the same
But people just have no idea
Of what they should do

You put things off
When you are busy
You tell yourself that you will help
But I see no volunteering

Everything I've spoke
Is deeply sketched inside my mind
Of all the horrors of the past
And all the dangers of the future

I think it's time we step up and help
