This poem is about the trials of life, but put into a more abstract view.
It is like a fire that burns from within,
The drive and consentration,
The constant yearning just to win,
A craving for love and adoration.

The constant struggle with your mind and your heart,
A distinct feeling of love and hope.
The unbearable pain when you are apart,
The extreme fear that is hard to cope.

These are the things that burn inside,
These are what keep us going,
These are the emotions that lead us to confide,
These are the emotions that tell us to leap with out knowing.

For what are we with out these?
But nothing more than living dust,
And each of us holds our own keys,
Which in our lives we dole out to those we trust.
