the first poem written by bethany, the second by me, a continuation after she passed away.
-by Bethany Stewart-
In a flutter of wings,
he lands on my shoulder.
Burrowing beneath my hair.
He wraps his tail around my neck.
Smiling, i stroke his smooth scaled neck,
and caress his spiky creased head.
He's my friend.
My pet dragon.

-by Jenn-
A friend of yours,
dropped in today.
He'd perched upon my shoulder.
He's lonely, and needs an ear
to share his thoughts of you.

We talked, we laughed
of all the memories we held.
His color changed
from dull to vibrant and back again
as he became happy....and sad.

As softly as he came, he went.
And for his visit I was thankful.
My spirits lifted as i felt closer to you,
Now that our feelings were unleashed
between us, your friend, your pet dragon.
