This is a creative writing piece about my street.
Fog creeps through the mix of wood and brick houses. Lights in the windows are only small pinpricks in the dense fog.

Cherry blossom petals litter the street. These blossom trees line both sides of the road. The fog dances around these beautiful trees like silk clad performers.

The recycle bins are out in force. The various bottles and cans are strewn on the ground. The lids of some milk bottles, form patterns on the the damp grass.

The old couple across the road are in their sweaters and track pants. They work their gardens with such a passion.Their flowers are the most colourful in the entire street. The daffodils dance in the light breeze. Spring fragrances fill the air.

As I admire the afternoon from my window, small children run past in summer clothing with a zest for life. A middle aged woman walks her dog, rushing to where she must go to.

As the sun sets in the western sky, it turns the clouds a shade of pink. Street lamps are slowly flicking on as the air becomes moist with the promise of night.

The moon is bright in the sky, flanked on all sides by glittering stars.

My street is quietly waiting for the morning.
