Sometimes we forget about our Savior, and walk by sight.
Throughout the daytime hours,
bathed in the warm sunlight,
all worries cast away,
we walk by simple sight.

When life's journey seems so simple,
so trouble free, so sweet.
We feel empowered to conquer,
to every enemy beat.

We forget about Christ our Saviour.
We forget about His love.
We forget about our Lord up there,
looking down from up above.

His tugging at our conscience,
everyday gets less and less,
as we harden to His call for us,
and focus mainly on our bliss.

But then when the trials come,
when fire blocks our way,
when life seems to be unbearable,
When darkness drowns out the day.

We cry out "Father help me!
Forgive me for my deeds,
I ignored your selfless sacrifice,
for which your right side bleeds!"

And as the waters close in on us,
And we give up hope for loss.
He picks us up with nail pierced hands,
Free of any cost.
