What does it take to renew lost love?
Must I turn the world around to have a second try?
The golden grains are rushing far away
Tumbled and tossed they pour down to one fate
It can’t be stopped; the dust escapes its cage
Soon all that is left will be a glass made empty
Falling beneath my grasp of control
I see it shifting, sinking, sifting
Till it has vanished
Like time
Lost
Like love
Till it has disappeared
I feel it slipping, slowly dripping
Failing beyond my efforts to heal it
Soon all that remains will be a heart left empty
It can’t be saved; the life flees from the soul
Broken and torn until it meets a bitter end
This relationship is drifting to its death
Must I turn earth upside down to have another chance?
