This is before Chapter 1. Right now I am just introducing the characters.
Rem and May walked downstairs, heading outside to play. Rem, the oldest, was 13 years of age, unlike May, who was only 12. The mother of the two, Arabella, stood in the kitchen cooking.

“Mother, May and I are going outside to play,” Rem said as she opened the door.

“Have fun, dears, but do come home by breakfast,” replied their mother. May and Rem nodded their okays and walked out the door. May, not wanting to play, raced down to the docks. Rem, on the other hand, went to where the other children were already playing. Rem was playing with others when a boy about Rem’s age came over. He was tall and had blue eyes. His hair was a brown color and was pulled back into a ponytail. He walked over to Rem. Rem turned to him and smiled.

“What is your name?” asked Rem.

“My name is Alphonse Skye,” he said, smiling,” What is your’s?”

“My name is Rem, Rem Sparrow,” said Rem, walking with Alphonse. An hour later, May walked up to Rem with a boy, talking to him all the while.

“Who be he?” asks May, looking at Alphonse.

“Oh, his name....,” Rem was about to say but was interrupted by Alphonse.

“My name is Alphonse,” Al said, “Who are you two?”

“Me name is May Sparrow and this be Touya Gibbs,” said May.

“So you are Mr. Gibbs’ son?” asked Al.

“Yes,” said Touya, not quite happy at the way people treated him when they found out he was Gibbs’ son.

Rem tilted her head to the side a little, not really getting Touya’s face. Alphonse looked at her, his eyes widened a little. W-what?! That face…I remember that face…

Rem looked at Alphonse, seeing the shocking look on his face. “Are you alright Alphonse?”

He stared in awe at her. “Rem…” Then out of no where a bomb hit the ground near them. Touya and Al grab Rem and May’s hands.

Jack, Rem and May’s father, came and said,” Run!!!! There are a couple of boats on the other side of the island.”
